If disregarding Finland, Poland is THE place for Liero. A place where real clan battles have been fought is simply astounding in comparison to the rest of the world. The battles between the Vermis Templari and the Liga Liero soldiers were tough, but not very bitter. Poland is also the homeland of famous Liero clone Wurmz!, created by Patrys. Poland is known for having some of the best Liero players in the world, as well as the most dedicated. Liero World Championships 2006 was won by NoMind, and the same in 2007 was won by Biernath John. In both cases, the opponent in the final game was Polish, and in 2006, third place also went to Poland. In 2007, the Liero World Championships were held in Warsaw, Poland.
The biggest Polish clan: Liga Liero, started up in the summer of 2000 as a IRL friends clan in the south polish Katowice area. When the clan went online it began accepting members from all of Poland and the membercount was enormous. Not many were active though. Vermis Templari had a very similar history, and was centered in the Lublin area of south-east Poland. The Polish community is still the largest, and most active one on the internet.
