Here is a new update for you to enjoy and to show that we do have been working all this time. However gusanos will still not be released tomorrow.

Stuff that has been added since last update:
 - Keyboard layout made configurable
 - GUI ( Moddable with a special script )
 - Multiple level formats support ( This includes Liero level format plus other clones' formats )
 - Multiple font format support ( Liero fonts and Losp fonts included )
 - LOSP physics ( reverse engeneered from the original Liero physics )
 - New event based particles and weapons scripting
 - 3D sounds using FMOD sound library
 - Distortion effects ( Faster and nicer than 0.8 distortions )
 - AI players (  You can add up to 32 bots )
 - Option to change video mode and fullscreen settings ingame
 - Stuff that I cant remember or isnt worth enough to mention Smiley

We are now working on the following list of things:
 - Netplay
 - Embedded scripting system ( For advance modding )
 - more GUI

Also, Gliptic has started a separate but very related project called "Liero2Gus". Basically its an app that converts Liero mods to Gusanos mods. Once this is done the amount of gusanos mods would automatically jump to the number of gusanos mods + the number of liero mods. Nice huh? Smiley

One of our beta testers ( Jonny ) is already working on a new version of his popular mod COG for gusanos .9 engine. We plan to release gusanos with that mod and some others included.

And Wei-Zhi-Hui gave us emotional support, he deserves 99% of the credit for that. Grin

Sorry, gusanos wont be released soon for sure. Its not even really playable yet so you will have to wait more.
I believe we wont release any public betas, but with time getting one will become easier Wink

Does it ONLY have LOSP physics, or are there 0.8 physics too? I liked the 0.8 physics.

Right now it only has LOSP physics, but I suppose we could make it switchable.

And lo Uthar, welcome back to crazyland! :O

I think the gusanos 0.8 physics was good. and free choice is too.  Smiley
The shock mod in gusanos would be great.
