Han Clinto has made a nice Launcher for Gusanos 0.8. It features a players key changer, map and mod selection, easy way of hosting and joining online games and some more features. It will probably be helpful for all those who dont like messing with files to configure gusanos Smiley.
You can get it here ( The sourcecode is included ).

Jonny did a good job of designing the functionality requirements of the interface. I just made his pictures come to life and actually function. If you want to take over designing the "look" for the project, go for it. Smiley I'll happily recompile with any new graphics or color schemes you care to create. I spent most of my time getting the thing to read and write Gusanos config files. Smiley

Hope it helps! But yes, I agree. I'm looking forward to 0.9 as well. Smiley This was just a stopgap, and makes me want to see 0.9 all the more.

Respectfully,
HanClinto

HanClinto, I found a little bug on the launcher ( in fact its missing functionality ). When you press the join button it wont let you choose mod, so I guess it will run with default? Its problematic if the server is runing a mod Tongue

You are probably missing the .NET framework files. HanClinto used it to make the launcher ( makes it not portable to linux Sad )
Get the files you need from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en

Isn't there something called MONO or something? I thought that was an opensource Linux implementation of .NET
I don't know how it works, and if it works. My Linux is still f00ked so I can't try myself Sad

Mono doesn't implement the whole MS.NET API. You should be able to run Windows.Forms stuff with Mono and Wine though but I haven't tried.
