I first joined the community when I was 13, I think, and now its round about 10 years later. Most of the websites around the early 2000's era lead to dead links now.

Doesn't seem to be much left of anything of a community unless I'm not looking hard enough. Oh well, fun days, Liero was like Worms on crack.

Indeed, this forum is quite dead. Some of us still chat on irc but we hardly discuss liero related topics any more ;o

Well, I'm still here and playing Liero, even under WinXP!  I had a HD crash awhile ago and scrapped my Win98 P2 computer. My new computer is running WinXP Sp3.  I PM'd Iceman here today, to see if he had a copy of my old Cold War Tank level pack for Liero 1.33
still hanging around! If it's gone, then I'll probably use Wormhole and OpenLiero to recreate it. If he still has a copy he can email me, then my next level pack will be a Dr. Who based one.  One way or another, I'm going to do the Dr Who levels and those will feature all of the last 11 doctors, some of the companions and some of the bad guys like the Cybermen and the Daleks.   Grin

  Thanks, Guys!

hey buddy, I PM'd you through YouTube... all of my Liero stuff is from the 'Liero Experience' pack I made years ago and I'm not sure if I added your levels to it Sad Sorry bro, I feel pretty bad about that! My inbox doesn't even have the PM you sent me with the link to the pack..

That's okay!   Grin  I'm halfway through the new pack, I finished all the armour levels last night.  Today I'm starting on the Jungle
levels.  I'm deciding wether to make up new levels entirely or base the new levels off actual "jungle" battles.

Good old times...
I'm going to make a gusanos like liero clone for Android, to bring back the spirit.
Who knows, maybe I'll even get some money for hard work...

(Implementing gusanos like lights gonna be hard with android java API. its poor if you go about fast pixel manupulation :/
but the NDK brings hope as it seems to be able to get direct pointer to pixeldata)
