I know that few people play Liero anymore, but here are a few LieroKit plugins that I made a while ago. Some may have been inspired by other people's weapons, and they are all designed to be interchangeable with the original Liero weapons.

Yeah, I don't even know if LieroKit works on modern OSes.   Sad  Anyway, here are some of the weapons assembled into complete sets:

Wow, its been a while since ive seen any of these! The weapons were pretty creative, and some were even familiar from back when I used to mess with lierokit. I remember I made an 'atom bomb' that had 'radiation', lol. And I made a drill, once, too. Quite fun. I noticed you tweaked the AI. Which actually turned out quite annoying, see, in Alt2, the AI would always get Gamma Blast (and I mean no matter what), and since those things are dead accurate, it would sit there and never stop shooting at me. If it changed weapons, it would always change back. I don't understand how or why an AI would pick a favorite weapon, all I know is I had to disable it before I could actually get a shot off at it. In Alt3, it was the same thing but with the Nuetron Bomb, in which case it just killed itself until it had no more lives. Ahh, I think I'm gonna try and get lierokit running again. It's been so long...

Yeah, I always use the LieroKit "enhanced" AI because I find it more aggressive, although it results in more suicides. I had not noticed the AI picking favorite weapons, though. I'll have to watch for that. Anyway, here is a link to the same executables, but without the AI tweaks: http://www.mediafire.com/?wgbgxnzk1ie

All of the weapons (except the instagib Railgun) are supposed to be compatible power-wise with the original weapons. (Alt3 even has the grenade from Liero.) So you can mix and match these and the originals with the minimum of restrictions (lasers, booby traps, and sometimes shotguns).

The instagib Railgun is meant to be played as the only available weapon in a game. It doesn't make much sense on a random map because you have to dig too much; however, it's much better in Promode, although I had a hard time getting the sounds just right (without replacing sounds). Later I will post the modified Promode executable here.

I'm glad someone enjoyed these.  Smiley

EDIT: Here is the instagib Railgun on Promode: http://www.mediafire.com/?iiggy3glyww
And here is another weapon remix with some new weapons: http://www.mediafire.com/?hdzzr1nz72m

EDIT2: By the way, Alt4_e.exe has an unmodified AI, while Alt4_h.exe uses the LieroKit enhanced AI. ("e" and "h" are for "easy" and "hard," respectively. That's just how I name them.   Grin  )

EDIT3: And here is Alt4 again with a bug fixed on the gamma grenade and the napalm replaced with a nuke cannon: http://www.mediafire.com/?m0dqaucmu23

Here is a new worm death sequence: http://www.mediafire.com/?jdkmng9mj4a
It doesn't change gameplay much, but I think that it looks kind of cool.  Smiley  I was going to use it for an Advanced Warfare style mod, but the flashdeath is a bit object-intensive (as far as overfilling the object list [EDIT: On second thoughts it's not too bad.]), so I'll probably use the "cyborg"-style death in the Techo weaponset instead.

As an aside, has anyone used both LieroKit and LieroM8? I have used LieroKit exclusively, but at the Liero Hellhole I read that LieroM8 is better. How do they compare?

Liero M8 was made by Sander de Jong, and i always found LieroKit far superior, even though i created the first drafts for LieroM8 Smiley However, im not sure, but didnt Wormhole 2.0 have some new editor stuff? I forgot.

They do different things. What things they do I can't remember anymore though.
