I didnt say the modders are the ones who will be coding the game scripts Tongue. Gusanos 1.0 would kind of become two separated projects in one ( both made by gliptic and I ).
The gusanos C++ code would just be a powerful and flexible game engine in which you can make liero like games and possibly liero unlike ones too.
Then there would be the official games that are made with it ( a Liero Clone and other games we may make ), this would be moddable.
Meaning that the engine itself will do very little things that are specific to liero clones. The games we make can have hardcoded logic without the disadvantage of being unflexible for modding.

I'm sorry if I bother you... but I need to know some things: you have no time for this or you just don't want to do it now.
by the way
I've heard (read) that Gliptic was makin some soft of VM for Gusanos 1.0
Why not use maybe JavaVM  ? It is very powerfull and JNI interface gives nice link between Java <-> native code ... (there are some custom open source libraries for scripting languages to run on JVM (scripts are often compiled into java bytecode on the fly, so jvm can optimalize them))

I do have time right now, so yeah, you could say its me just not wanting to do it right now, kinda Wink

I don't know about JVM, I'll look into it when I get back to Gusanos. Also, Gliptic isn't making the VM just for gusanos, he is making it for fun and for other of his projects too. Although I haven't seen him work on it a lot lately.
