i think that for more abilities in modding there should be new level format in gus which will be object oriented. such objects will be accessible in lua and will behave as dirt rock or sth so making a lift will be moving rect-shaped rock-material object.

that would be leet but quite hard to make i think

Basara has promised more control over materials and you can already access objects in lua ;o

i mean level objects such as:

so lift will be separate defined-in-level rock-material rectangular object and could be moved using lua so it behaves just as normal rock

It is by Gliptic, yes. Basara might start working on Gusanos when Glip has finished his VM. (which is sometime between now and 62 years in the future)

Both will likely be supported. Viewport location on the screen will be handled by the mod scritps, and you will be able to place as many viewports you want.
Worms will be objects and all of their logic will be handled by the scripts too, so by making modders able to change the worm colour we will be making them able to make objects that change colours too.
