I used to play liero, then lieroX like nuts, and regularly played 8-vs-1 matches in lieroX under basically all settings.

So yeah, when i actually TRY i'm good at this game. The physics in Gusanos make it better for my free-flying style. In liero-X it was way to easy fro noobs to just sit on the ground aiming straight right/left and wait for me to land near them with five rifles.

Combos were never meant to be. Neither was the ability to aim straight one direction. I love gusanos b/c it feels like old liero 1.33.

My only probalem is the fact the WH has no ROPE I NEED A ROPE. My whole playstyle is based off me having a rope all the time to keep my player moving really fast.

Movement in WH (a bit skilled oob) is the fastest i've ever seen though.

Here it comes finally. we are happy to announce the rules for Gusanos Tournament. >:>

Gusanos Tournament - The rules (Last changed: 28.06.2006)
   
General:

b) Each player has read and agrees to the rules.
c) Registration is open from 19.06.2006. Registration has been closed! (28.06.2006)
d) Schedule will be announced when registering is ended.

Competitors:

a) Everybody can take part in the tournament.

Registering:

a) Every player is supposed to send a PM (on Comser Forum) to Guth(rick von Kewpa :0) to confirm his participation.

Table and deadline:

a) Tournament system will be prepared based on how much players are registered.
c) Exact dates will be set by the admin and the competitors.

Matches:

#Frag counting:
The players tinal score is taken from following pattern:
Code:
          Frags    Deaths
Player A  10       5
Player B  2        14

The tinal score of player A:  Frags A - (Deaths A - Frags B)
that is: 10 - (5 - 3) = 8
The tinal score of player B:  Frags B - (Deaths B - Frags A)
that is: 2 - (14 - 10) = -2

*Ingroups matches:
a) Each player will be sorted into groups randomly, three [or sth like that - depends on amount of players) players in each group.
b) Each player will play two matches - one with each opponents. In case of a tie total final score will be used as a decider.
c) From each group there are two players who go through to double elimination part. Then they will be sorted in their places in double elimination system.


*Double elimination part
b) Players play two matches against each other. Maps are chosen by players by the way of elimination, two maps are eliminated by each player and the remaining is played.
c) The player with the higher total score wins.
d) In case of a tie for first place, there will be one more decisive match.
e) Players must be on irc channel [#ligaliero] 15 minutes before the following match.
f) Days and hours proposed by players will be accepted by tourney admins. If players can't agree, match date will be chosen by referee. Date has to be selected at least one day before playing the match
g) Players can't be hosts of their matches.
h) After each player must take a screenshot from final score and give it to admin or referee.

Maps:

Bunker
Krab
Duel2
Pokol2
Tropic cave

version:

a) Players must have following files:

Gusanos v0.9c
WH v0.33t + mappack (Isn't the same as WHv033)

b) Tournament will be played on the latest released (stable) version of each file. Changes to which version players will use will be announced on the ComSer forum.

Server's settings:

Deathlimit: 15
Fraglimit: 20 [Higher than deathlimit anyway cos value 0 somehow b0rk the game Wink]

Player's settings:

a) Every changeable ingame settings are allowed.

Cheating:

a) Using outside programs/scripts which are not the part of the game is forbidden.
b) Offending another players while playing is strictly forbidden.
c) Everything that doesn't come along with a good manner is forbidden, too.

The rules can be changed. Any changes will be announced on the Comser Forum.

PM is just more reliable. If someone has PMed, he almost for sure will play. And as there are not much PM sent already, it means that using this method is good.

Well, 4 users (it is: grey|shift, Jonny, deguix and BattleShorts) have already sent PM to me about IGT, and another 5 wrote about joining in this thread (Setrodox, basara, Podex, Hurme and Wei) Everybody who haven't registered yet and want to play should write something about register I think. [wherever if you are so lazy Tongue]

Registering has been ended on 28.06.2006. 23 26 players had registered so far.

There are several changes in the rules, and we (Wsh and Jerac) had improved WH a bit, so there is a new version of it too.
Changes:
*better ballance of weapons
*maxplayers limit on the server (thanks to deguix Wink)

Attention: There was a little bug so everyone who had downloaded wh035 before the Wsh's message (few posts below) should download it one more time.

First matches will start on Friday (30.06.2006) and Saturday (1.07.2006). Every player must be present on irc (#ligaliero channel in the irc.quakenet.org server ) You will get more information about schedule there. Actually we're not gonna to be strict in the time of playing, but it would be good if we get through the first part in the incoming week. If somebody can't play then, please tell me, I think we can delay some matches a bit. Wink

If there are some people from Poland who don't know english language at all, me or Jerac or somebody will help etc.

This sounds interesting. Even though I would've liked to take part, I can't due lack of time within the next few weeks (leaving the town to my cottage). Good luck for the contestants, I hope I will be able to join the next tournament :>

BTW, it was implemented in the file "wh.lua~" which is probably a backup copy or something, but not on "wh.lua" itself.

Podex has been eliminate from loser bracket, but you play else , you are in loser bracket (right side ladder)
