The third POWER MAGAZINE is out, and we have extended to 24 pages now! Also fixed is the low resolution from previous issues. Just to be nice, i have reuploaded all previous issues too (both) with better resolution. They are a few hundred kilobytes larger now. Get all here or here.

Enjoy!

Something strange with the pdf (running gpdf), it has problems with backgrounds on the transparent things like the angled texts on the cover and the circle that marks Brussels and i think that some photos don't have a thick gray border. Plus it crashes on Jerrec's acrobat reader.

hmm, yes, i installed acroread instead of evince to be able to read it.
does anyone know a good alternative to pdf? the problem is that it needs to be viewable with a computer, and it should be printable too.

setrodox, sounds like you need MAGIC Cheesy
If pdf prints the same in every browser it's because it all the browsers use the same adobe crap, and don't display anything by themselves. Straight SVG might print identically, but support for it isn't high.

the old versions of power mag 1 & 2 looked the same in xpdf, evince and acroread, so that's not a real argument. since power mag 3 wei uses some features that need acroread Tongue

btw, i like svg  Smiley

The diffrence between #1 #2 and #3 is that #3 uses a higher image resoltion and is generated to be compatible with Acrobat 6.0 (previous had 5.0 compatibility). This doesnt make the PDF unreadable with older versions of Acrobat Reader but it might show some features incorrectly. The advantage i get from 6.0 is better handling of layers and blendings in the PDF. To speak plainly, its less hax.

If you have problems viewing the magazine in some readers, im sorry, but i cant help you. Its made for Acrobat 6.0 and if you choose to use some other reader, I will not be able to do much. Maybe save one as 5.0. Tongue
