Greetings

This is a new thingy. POWER MAGAZINE, famed for its amazing journalistic work Wink, has decided to award an award to people who have been outstanding in contributions to the community during a past month. This poll is to elect the people who will vote and choose the winner of the award.

Whom would you like to be on this board that chooses the winner? Cast your vote within 14 days from the poll start, and the 4 with most votes will be granted a seat at the POWER AWARD table. Gliptic, Greybrow and myself are pre-elected because we are ComSer admins and in a way, cannot be excluded from it.

The people on the board should be; FAIR, HONEST, ACTIVE, UP TO DATE and INTERESTED. Should any elected board-member choose to withdraw, his position will be open for a new election of board-member.

Elected who do not fulfill their duties will be replaced, to ensure a fair awarding process.

This poll is open for 14 days, results will be shown only after it has been closed. You may during this time edit your vote, even after casting it. You may cast 4 votes each.

Please, everyone, participate to ensure democracy.

Well he was mainly active in LieroX but switched to Gusanos now. He made (or is making) Lightsaber Arena.

1. So far, 10 people have voted, and im not amazed yet Smiley
2. Im already on the board since.. a) i make the magazine, b) im some sort of ComSer owner since i invented it and c) even if i wasnt on the board id still be able to see and vote in it since im an admin. Gliptic and Greybrow are CSF admins too, so they cant be denied entrance either. Not that we want to anyway.

i don't think that that would be really fair...
if it would be allowed some special rules would be needed for voting to make it more fair.

Well, sure they can be. In fact, the people on the board are those who contribute most. So we will have to give ourselves awards a lot. Besides, it wont just be a poll among us who wins. There are rarely 2 people who contribute a great deal during a month, so, the problem will maybe be to find someone who contributed enough to be worth a prize.

hmm, ok then. but it must be assured that people in the board won't have an advantage against other people imo

I dont think that will be the case. We must simply evaluate who really made something. The amount of people will ensure that noone is forgotten. The choosing of winner will be more a debate rather than a vote. In cases of uncertainty, a vote will determine the winner.
