Hi all
i would love to play this game someday, are there any plans of porting it to mac?
i read somewhere it would be possible but that developer couldn't do it because he didnt have a mac..or something like that.
anyway, i just wanted to say that there are a lot of mac users who want this game and who have to sit by in the side lines.
So any port would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Gusanos depends on the zoidcom netwroking library, which is closed source and not availble for Mac OS(X).

Yeeaahh iLiero  Shocked
(one little moment you scared me that perhaps there was already a Liero clone running on MacOSX and i didn't noticed it) hehehe  Grin

There is a thread in Zoidcom's forum about future porting of Zoidcom's networking technologies to other Operation Systems (BSD,MacOSX).

He din't say yes, but also didn't say no!

so there will be some day perhaps some efforts by Zoidcom networking of porting to BSD and/or MacOSX

my question to you is if this is the case, porting of Gusanos would be very difficult or isn'tit  a that big task?

Is it for both for ppc and intel-based macs, if not, do you plan to support both?

Now I just need to get a mac :>

In the download there's a macosx.txt, here the contents:
Code:
Binaries are in the linux subfolders. These are PPC only binaries.

For the example to work, the dylib files need to be copied to samples/bin/linux.
As it seems PPC only  Sad

I was a massive fan of Liero (this was before all the next generation games in this genre) when I had a PC so I would love to see this come to the mac.
