I've been following GP2X a lot tho not having one myself...

it's dual processor 200mhz + 200mhz with 2d accelerator, running nicely snes and genesis emulators, quake 1, divx videos etc (psx, gba and quake2 coming)

dunno what would the gusanos requirements be on a similar system but it seems ok to me

the news is that the new kernel source 2.0 will have usb host capabilities and some speed tweaks... that means possible wifi support and much else... that would make it possible to get multiplay between other gp's or even netplay..

the console itself, being linux based, doesnt require THAT much to port stuff sooo... think about it

i'm owning a gp32 (predecessor of the gp2x and not linux based  Sad), i have to say that i really like gamepark.

but as i already said there won't be zoidcom for gp2x, so no network.(i won't accept a game like gusanos without multiplayer mode tbh). next problem would be fmod, it's not open source, so no porting to gp2x i think. the dual processor won't be of any use without a complete rewrite of gusanos. and the 2d accelerator needs extra support in the source too i think(it may be automagicaly used by an allegro port for the gp2x)

Maybe Gliptic gives us the source. Then we'd only have to look for a talented programmer, who wants to port it.
Didn't he already?

I am just wondering, I'm going to buy GP2X, but is it really worth of it?
Does it fit in a pocket?

you probably would have more luck asking that in the GP2X forums, very few people here do have a GP2X.

imo if it doesnt have wifi its not worth buying.
