Mots, the crazy master of crazyness had a crazy idea:

How about porting gusanos to the open, linux based Handheld GP2X? (Hardware specs: http://gp2x.gadgetoid.com/hardware.php , Development wiki : http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/Main_Page). I think it would be possible and really fun if a gamepad interface and  bots would be added. What do you think? Any skilled coders which want to help?

Its probably to heavy for it, also its has dependencies with allegro zoidcom fmod and boost.. I doubt those will be ported to it either Tongue
It would probably be easier to make a new liero clone, made specifically for it, than porting gusanos. GP2X looks very nice but I would also be unable to buy it since it costs 3-4 times more for people in argentina Sad

In Austria we can't buy it at all, so I'll import it from Hongkong Cheesy

Maybe Gliptic gives us the source. Then we'd only have to look for a talented programmer, who wants to port it.

It would be possible. Yep. 320x240, and don't go too hardcore on the mods, and that'll be fine.
Oh, and porting would take some serious time.
Don't emulate, port.

theoretically, it could (ext-port) . But I haven't ever seen another GP2X-User, so it's kinda pointless.

hmm, yeah, but what do you  want to do in gusanos alone? splitscreen on one gp2x?  Grin
network wouldn't be even possible because of zoidcom which is only available for windows and linux...
