Gusanos .9 is starting to take its most playable shape.

What I can remember that was done:
- Netplay is almost completelly done ( Its much better than what it used to be in 0.8 for sure )
- AI Players now work over network games!
- The GUI is almost done too, the game scoreboard has already been implemented with it.
- Particles now support alpha blending or add blending.
- 2 Scanlines video filters.
- Again all those small features I may forget to mention.

It may not seem a lot, but netplay and GUI are really serious issues which needed lots of time to make them good.

And now for something completelly different:

Some of the members of Liga Liero ( The only remaining Liero clan ) decided to make a Polish site for gusanos. If you can read Polish go check it here: http://gusanos.liero.org.pl/

Finally! The one day I decide to work on my mod instead of glaring at the same news posts over and over there's an update! Where's the beta, good sir? I'm ready to finish my massively awesome mod for soon-after-launch.  Roll Eyes

Keep up the work, dood.

On an off-point note, I just noticed that the mod.cfg file in 0.8 spells it as "ROPE_LENGHT". Oh well. I bet that was fixed forever ago.

Yes, I do know Liero AI. it has an amazing amount of weapons, but for some reason physics are a bit screwed and it runs too slow.
Gusanos will probably support all that LieroAI supported.

LieroAI had (almost) no AI, so to emulate it, Gusanos needs to have no os.

blargh, i was just about to post when firefox crashed, so here we go again:
After 2 days trying to compile gusanos .9 and spamming Glpitic for help i finaly got it to work today. its progressing and looks goodish. Smiley
Anyway, i wrote down a list of thing i thought of that should be fixed/added.

  • levels that are smaller than the screen size should have a black border
  • arrows work in console so that you can edit stuff in the begining of the command without ereasing
  • some (precomfigured) aliases mod=game,exit=quit
  • screenshot names starts with ss01 and not ss1
  • skin colors
  • reloading/ammo bar
  • preferences (and other stuff) through gui
  • when you walk against a (vertical) wall you should fall down
  • diffrent names on bots
  • DIRT!

i was going to write sorted scoreboard, but justnoticed that it was done. good job. Smiley
and here are some screenshots i took, the first one demonstrating the "level smaller than screen size" bug:
