Uthar's suggestion replies:
-Vertical only jetpack means no way of accelerating horizontally, so it would greatly reduce mobility.

You can still move left and right in the air. Now you cant move up or hover and shoot down because you will just move forward (if you dont think it's enough have more air movements).

Yes you can learn to play with this but I don't think it's making it has better overall movement, and you can learn the other way much faster and it will be much better aim in air.

In future I would like to do:
-character classes, each class has diffrent health and weapon sets

Well I want to make character classes to for Doom, we can work together on the lua coding for these character classes . .  Smiley

Uthar, but moving left-right like in liero is very unrealistic... actual is very limited. If I made the jetpack entirely vertical, the game would become too ground-based.

Then have extra keys for forward/backwards jetpack (or maybe 2, one downlef and one downright, and if you use both at same time you go up).

This is the possible solution. Or make jetpack working like this:
-flying up when pressing only jetpack key
-flying ONLY left/right when pressing both jetpack and left/right key.

Probably I'll make it changeable from console (or anyhow), so I can still use my style and a new player can use the simplier one (however less efficient).

Jetpack still unmodified (bad LUA! bad! Cheesy), but lotsa of balance changes made last days. And added last weapon, the Meltagun (...and removed Lascannon).

Exact changes:
-Added weapon: Meltagun. Meltagun shots powerful overheated bolts that have short range and quickly lose power. 4 ammo per clip, moderate reload and clooldown time, 49 power in close range, 10 in the end. Always deals 10 explosive damage.
-Removed: Lascannon and both Toxins.

Balancing:
-Flamethrower - double cooling speed
-Heavy Bolter - 2 more ammo, shortened cooldown
-Krak Grenade - minimally increased outer explosion range, doubled inside exp range (so 95 in total)
-Krak Missile - longer reload, weaker
-Lasgun - weaker
-Plasma Gun - increased ammo per clip by 1, minimally more powerful
-Plasma Pistol - one more shot in clip, 50% faster cooling
-Shotgun - reduced reloading time, shots double
-Sniper Rifle - reduced reloading time, piercing (unlimited times, no damage loss)
-Thunder Fist - more damage, kills in 2 shots instead of 3

The syncing of what? Jetpack? Sometimes I wish player events implemented in the game, this is starting to be a restriction. Did you try to increase the connection quality to improve the syncing when forcing by LUA if the syncing partially worked, WSh? The Biplane Burn Oil mod also tries to force syncing by setting the speed and the angle of the player at all times.
